Talk to Bittensor.

Tao is a voice assistant with a wallet on your phone. Ask about your balance, subnets and validators, or stake TAO by saying so.

YouWhat's my balance?
Tao12.41 TAO free, 3.2 staked on Apex. About 15.6 TAO at today's alpha price.

Just say it.

Tao reads the chain while you talk and answers in a sentence or two. Every number comes from a real query at a real block.

Your keys, your phone, your call.

No sign-up. No custody. The app creates a wallet on your device the first time you open it.

Open the app

A Bittensor wallet is generated in your phone's secure storage and locked with Face ID or fingerprint. Export the recovery phrase any time, or import one you already have.

Talk

Tap the orb and speak. Tao looks things up on the chain while you talk. Reading is free and unlimited, and Tao remembers what you told it last time.

Confirm

Stakes and transfers are shown on screen first. You approve with biometrics, the transaction is signed on your device and sent. Nothing moves without your tap.

Pay for what you talk.

Talk time is prepaid in TAO. No subscription, no card, no account.

Minutes are reserved when a conversation starts and whatever you don't use goes straight back. A quiet room costs you nothing: the mic mutes itself and sessions end after 90 seconds of silence.

Add time on this site: send TAO from any wallet or exchange and it is credited the moment the transfer is final, usually within a minute.

Built so we can't touch your funds.

heytao is a voice layer, not a custodian. The design keeps your keys and your money out of our reach by construction.

The private key never leaves your device

Our server prepares transactions as unsigned payloads. The app signs them inside the phone after your biometric unlock, and only then broadcasts. The server never sees a seed or a key.

compose → unsigned payload
show on screen → you confirm
sign on device → biometrics
broadcast → Bittensor

Exportable and importable

The recovery phrase is standard BIP39. Import it into any Bittensor wallet, or bring an existing phrase into heytao.

Every action shown first

Amount, destination, subnet and validator appear on screen before anything is signed. Cancel is always one tap.

Facts, not tips

Tao gives you on-chain data and neutral metrics like yield per alpha. It never tells you what to buy.

Short-lived payloads

An unsigned transaction is valid for about 13 minutes and can be used exactly once. The app refuses to sign anything that differs from what it asked for.

Questions

The short answers. For anything else, write to realtalk@heytao.lol.

Which network does it use?

Bittensor mainnet (Finney) only. Balances, subnet data and transactions are live.

Do I need an account?

No. Your wallet address is your identity. The app signs a login challenge with your key, that's it.

Can I use my existing wallet?

Yes. Import a 12 or 24 word recovery phrase in the app. It is stored in the phone's secure enclave or keystore.

What does Tao remember?

Short notes you give it, like your language, what you follow or how you like answers. You can read and delete them in the app under Wallet.

What happens to my voice?

Audio streams directly from your phone to OpenAI's realtime speech model over an encrypted connection and is not stored by heytao. See the privacy notes.

iPhone, Android or browser?

All three, same wallet format. The browser version at app.heytao.lol works today with a password-protected wallet. The Android and iOS apps follow through the stores and keep the key in the phone's secure hardware.

Is heytao affiliated with the Opentensor Foundation?

No. heytao is an independent project. TAO and Bittensor are trademarks of their respective owners.
